Chair's Message | ||
|
Dear Friend,
The CBCF is uniquely positioned to address the challenges facing our minority communities today. As Chair, I hope to expand on many of the community awareness and service programs that CBCF has undertaken in recent years, and tackle new issue areas that warrant our attention. I also aim to expand on the CBCF's critically important educational opportunities for those seeking academic advancement. The Foundation's internship, fellowship and scholarship programs have offered invaluable experience and tools to thousands of young people, arming them for future careers as America's top leaders. We must develop and expand these programs to meet the increasing demand by finding our applicants more internship and fellowship opportunities, and increasing our capacity to offer more scholarships to qualified students. Our Annual Legislative Conference is the Foundation's signature event and fundraiser, and I hope to strengthen the advancements made in recent years by doubling our efforts to provide an educational and enjoyable experience to all our valued supporters. As a former co-chair of the ALC weekend, I am committed to strengthening and building relationships with new and existing CBCF partners to meet the Foundation's long term strategic goals. Again, I am extremely honored to lead the Foundation's
efforts, and I am excited about all the amazing opportunities that lie
ahead for the CBCF. |
