The Public Service Seminar is designed to empower emerging leaders to be informed and actively engaged in bringing change to their respective communities. Over the course of a day, registrants interact with individuals in key positions within Congress, federal agencies and public policy institutes through a series of workshops.

The CBCF Emerging Leaders Public Service Seminar: Student Leadership Institute (PSS2) brought more than 75 students from around the nation to the U.S. Capitol. The goals of the Institute were to educate students and young adults on the legislative process and the policy priorities of the CBC, motivate the students to become more politically involved on their respective campuses, and forge partnerships between the CBCF and institutions of learning.
