The latest edition of REACH (Research from Emerging Agents for Change) is a compilation of the policy papers developed by our 2002 and 2003 Congressional Fellows while working on Capitol Hill. Each CBCF Congressional Fellow is charged with critically examining policy issues of concern to African American and/or other persons of African descent. By working on Capitol Hill with Members of the Congressional Black Caucus and professional staffers, Fellows are able to gain a first-hand understanding of the legislative process. Thus, the papers in this journal not only are a reflection of the Fellows’ mastery of the legislative process, but each presents articulate, well-reasoned positions with culturally-relevant policy proscriptions. REACH offers fresh views and insights to those seeking to work for change in African American and other communities of African descent. Two editions of REACH are presently available. |
