The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation welcomed 43 congressional
interns— its largest class in the program’s history. Established in 1986, the CBCF Congressional Internship Program answered the call to help diversify our democracy by increasing the pool of skilled public servants. The CBCF Congressional Internship Program selects talented undergraduates from across the country to work under the guidance of Congressional Black Caucus Members and their professional staffs. The program features an interactive educational curriculum that includes weekly discussions with Members of Congress and networking sessions with other Washington, D.C., powerbrokers. Interns also visit New York City and explore historical and cultural sites.
The program is sponsored by, among others, the UPS Foundation, New York Life Foundation, Prudential and Altria Group Inc
