PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

The National Minority Quality Forum and the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Inc., in cooperation with the Congressional Black Caucus Health Braintrust are collaborating on a joint Spring Health Braintrust and 5th Annual Health Disparities Leadership Summit, which is themed:

'HEALTH EQUITY AND JUSTICE NOW!'

When:

April 14 and 15, 2008

Where:

The Ritz Carlton Hotel at 1150 22nd Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20037

ABOUT THE EVENT: During this 2008 Spring Health Braintrust and Health Disparities Leadership Summit, numerous issues that are integral to health equity and the elimination of all health disparities will be explored and discussed. Additionally, we will honor several individuals and entities for their contributions to achieve health equity and improve the health, health care and well being of all Americans. Once we finalize the agenda, we will ensure that you receive a copy of it.  However, if you have questions or need additional information, please feel welcome to contact Britt Weinstock, senior health policy advisor in the Office of Congresswoman Donna M. Christensen (Virgin Islands), via email at britt.weinstock@mail.house.gov or at (202) 225-1790. Additionally, please feel welcome to share this announcement and information with your respective networks.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT REGISTERING: There is no charge for CBC Health Braintrust registrants. However, because we are collaborating with our friends at NMQF and having this event at the Ritz Carlton, we strongly ask that you register for this event so that we have as accurate a headcount as possible. To register, please go to the Web site at www.nmqf.org. Click on Annual Summit, 2008 Leadership Summit, and Register Now on the left menu. From the options that appear, select "CBC Health Braintrust", and follow the instructions to register. PLEASE NOTE: To receive the 100% registration discount, enter "CBCHbt-2K8" in the discount code field after the registration category. If you are a speaker, please enter the following code when prompted – Speaker-2K8 – to receive speaker-specific instructions.

Hotel reservations also can be made through the registration Web site. For additional information, please contact Britt Weinstock, senior health policy advisor in the Office of Congresswoman Donna M.
