African Americans daily struggle to glean information that is relevant to their lives. Our issues are huddled in a small corner of the American mind, briefly illuminated when the spotlight of media attention points in our direction. Coverage is often biased and poorly-researched. No positive advocacy efforts can rely upon an interrupted and unreliable stream of information. CBCF intends to fill this void between popular reporting and in-depth analysis. Our advocacy for equal health care and public policy can only be accomplished by the delivery of accurate information on time to our constituents.
