Exhibitors and VolunteersExhibitor Opportunities at SoHL A significant offering at SoHL Wellness and Diabetes Day events is an afternoon Health & Wellness Fair. This two-hour segment is designed to be the most interactive part of the free community health day. As CBCF seeks to raise awareness about type 2 diabetes and its detrimental impact on health among African Americans, we recognize that local health-promoting agencies, service providers and organizations play a vital role in this effort.
The fair highlights areas of health and wellness that extend beyond those directly linked to type 2 diabetes, and offers diverse information on the prevention, treatment, and management of diseases prevalent within the African-American community. We welcome the participation of health-related agencies/organizations, service providers, university departments, and community groups that are working to promote healthy lifestyle choices among African Americans. There is no cost to participate in the event. We simply ask confirmed exhibitors to register at least 10 of their patrons and clients for the event. Exhibit space is limited and subject to approval. CBCF encourages interested parties to download and review SoHL’s exhibitor prospectus for additional information.
Volunteer Opportunities at SoHL We simply cannot deliver well-coordinated, organized and stakeholder-friendly Wellness and Diabetes Day events without the assistance of volunteers. The Foundation has had the great fortune of working with wonderful individuals—young, seasoned and in between—who help ensure that our health events portray the appropriate look and feel, and that attendees feel welcomed and informed. Simply put: they help us get the job done. If you are located in one of the cities SoHL will visit and are interested in serving as a pre-event or event-day volunteer, please read our volunteer guide. We welcome inquiries from friendly, flexible, dependable and service-oriented people who want to dedicate a few or several hours towards our efforts of raising awareness about chronic disease prevention and control. |
