Nicole Austin-Hillery, President and CEO, Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, issued the following statement on the passing of former executive director Dr. Ramona Edelin.
It is with profound sadness that we mourn the passing of Dr. Ramona Edelin, former Executive Director of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF). Dr. Edelin’s dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to advancing the mission of the CBCF leaves an indelible mark on our organization and the broader community.
During her tenure, Dr. Edelin brought unparalleled vision and passion to her work, tirelessly advocating for the empowerment and advancement of Black communities across the nation. Her strategic insights and tireless advocacy efforts were instrumental in shaping the CBCF’s impact and ensuring its continued growth and success.
Dr. Edelin’s legacy is not only defined by her professional achievements but also by her profound impact on the lives of countless individuals she mentored, inspired, and uplifted throughout her remarkable career. Her leadership and mentorship paved the way for future generations of Black leaders, leaving an enduring legacy of excellence and service.
As we reflect on Dr. Edelin’s remarkable life and legacy, we are reminded of her enduring spirit and commitment to social justice, equality, and empowerment for all.
