The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. (CBCF) administers several programs which focus on the importance of preventive health. These programs have educated hundreds about vital health-related issues, provided access to resources and testing and started many underserved individuals on their paths to improved health and wellness.
Health Policy
As the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is implemented across the nation, African Americans continue to be affected by historical disparities of access to health care. African Americans must know and understand their rights and benefits under the ACA to make critical informed decisions about quality health care treatment, access, and opportunity. The Center for Policy Analysis and Research (CPAR) raises awareness about how the new health care law benefits and empowers African Americans to receive quality and affordable health care.
