WASHINGTON – In recognition of Black History Month, the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. (CBCF) and Instagram have teamed up to host a tour of African-American historic points of interest in Washington, DC. CBCF interns will share their thoughts and experiences via Instagram while they move through a guided tour of U.S. history from an African-American perspective. The public can meet the interns at any of the sites or follow along on Instagram using the hashtag, #CBCFInstaMeet.

WHY: The #CBCFInstaMeet tour is an opportunity to provide first-hand accounts of Washington, DC’s rich history of African-American culture with a contemporary understanding of what it means to be an African-American youth in 2014.
